Karaoke

This is the 3rd time I sing K in Penang (in my whole life also ), don't believe? It's true!! I do not go for clubbing too....don't believe again?! I really looks like a girl who will have night life mer?!

Tell you what, we go to sing K because of this couple lar, tey are getting married, then we all have to sacrifice our voice, our beauty and our first time (?!) to perform a song on the stage!!

See how enjoy they are while we are busy training :P. Now lar, all of us enjoy the day actually.

Indian Food Again?

This is what my friend said when I told them that i went to Temple of Fine Art again :P

This time I ordered Poori, It's really nice.

I went there quite early after jogging at botanical garden, hence, you can have a look at the garden now :)

They even put small pot of flowers on the table.

Xiang Yi Farewell

Today we have a farewell lunch for Xiang Yi, our cute but tough small little girl in SPD. Hope that she enjoyed the lunch. Wish that she could fly high in her future too.

Our department always goes this “standard” restaurant when there is some special occasion. So, we can guess almost all the food that they served :P.

Xiang Yi proposed a toast to us and send off us at the door side like this is her wedding dinner (but where is the brideroom ?:D).

Xiang Yi, no matter what you do and where you go in the future, our best wishes will still be with you. Wish you all the best!!

Hand Bouquet

My boy friend sent this bouquet to me during my first birthday in my current company. After keeping it for years, he suggested me to throw the bouquet away, so, we took this photo. Then he sent this bouquet to the morgue (actually is the dump near my house J).

Why I agreed to throw away? Actually do not want to, but we cannot use the bouquet, cannot find any good place to keep it and it is already full with dust and smelly. So, we have to throw it away. Plus, the old one did not go, new one will not come (may be want something better, like diamond….good idea, right?).

Emm… I feel troublesome with just one bouquet in my house; I am wondering how those who “force” her boy friend to send bouquet to office every month can keep their bouquet. I do not really like hand bouquet because for me, this is something temporary, this is something expensive and this is something useless especially when the love gone.

I am ok with those couple who send bouquet during Valentine’s Day, birthday, anniversary and those special memorable days. I’m not ok with those who celebrate “monthly anniversary” or “monthlivesary”, the boyfriend send bouquet every month to the office. Emm….may be you can say I am realistic because I prefer if my boy friend give me something that both of us can use instead of wasting money buying a bouquet which you know it is going to ended up in dump.

Sick.Computer

Weather is abnormal these few days. The temperature is so high. Everyone get sick easily, including things. Ya, things….my PC.

My PC worked continuously for 3 days and I thought that I should give it a rest. Hence, I shut down it one night. The next day, I left it until night without switching it on. Who knows, it rest too much. By the moment I switch it on, the PC already in unconscious situation.

I saved all my photos in the PC!!!!!! That is the worst thing could ever happened, photos are important to me. I can download again all the movies that I save in the computer, I can retype my resume but I can recapture all the photo that I saved it the PC!!

Luckily, I sent it to the ER and my personal PC doctor (hehe, actually is my boy friend lar) manage to rescue them out before the last breath of my PC.

According to the PC doctor, I let it worked too hard and suddenly let it rest too much, so it died. It is something like, you go out to the beach for sun bathing and immediately go to bath in cold water for 8 hours, then you get heavy fever and die….

Now I know why people never shutdown their server, why some people died in sleep after working continuously for 3 days but it is too late, my PC rest in peace. That is why I did not update my blog for few days, sorry ya.

Temple of Fine Art

I found a good Indian vegetarian restaurant in Penang this Saturday. When my boyfriend brings me to this restaurant, I was a little bit redundant because I do not really like to eat vegetable. It seems like I was wrong.The environment is good, the food is nice and the service is nice. The most important thing is, this is not a profit making restaurant, they apply the concept of Annalakshmi.

Annalakshmi is the Hindu Goddess of Food and the adage "athithi devo bhava" meaning "the Guest is God" is the motivating factor. This factor is a tribute to the Goddess of Plenty, Annalakshmi. These ideals, the warmth and the service very soon capture the imagination of diners. Annalakshmi provides food for the soul by providing a good meal to those who walk in.

The food served in Annalakshmi is prepared with the care and love by homemakers - mothers, grandparents, sisters and brothers. This filial connection is what makes the concept of Annalakshmi, an unique one. They serve buffet during lunch, ala carte during dinner.

If you still do not understand what I am talking about, let me tell you: “You can eat as much as you want and you can pay how much as you want according to your will!!” Emm…or you can say : “if you are really muka tembok, then you can just walk away after your meal!!”

If you need further understanding of the food name on the menu, you can request the waitress (actually they are volunteer) to explain it to you.

The food looks really nice and taste nice too. We went during dinner, that is why the food was served in ala carte style. This is the set meal named: Preethi Bhojhan

The best Mango Lassi (Yellow one) I have tasted(actually this is the first time i taste it, :P). The other one is Masala, is a ginger tea.

Laksa in SP

When people talk about Laksa, they always think about Penang Laksa. I thought this is facts. May be it is still a fact to some people, but this is not a fact to me…because I found another good laksa in Sungai Petani, a small town in Kedah.

This is just a small stall at the road side, but it's always full house. You need to pay at lease RM2.50 just for a plain laksa without any fish. In SP, you pay the same price and you get a bowl of laksa with fish meat.

Penang Laksa taste a little bit sweet but SP Laksa taste more spicy, emm…may be I feel SP laksa more delicious because I like spicy food :P.

If you really do not like the taste of the Laksa, do not worry, they have another foods like “cai kuih”, “bak gua bread”, snacks, fried bihun and etc.

Opposite this laksa stall is a famous tuition centre in SP named Do Re Mi (how famous is it? You will know it next time when I show you the photo). If you do not know how to go, just ask people about the direction of this tuition centre.

Old Bread House

When people talk about bread, most of us will think of Gardenia and High 5, right? Let me show you a SPECIAL bread house (is a bread house, not bakery!).

This is an old bread house located in a small town (I do not think it is too small also, just a little bit smaller then Butterworth) named Sungai Petani. You can definitely confirm that it is old just by looking at it :P.

Even local might not know about this bread house, at lease teenager will not know (emm..so you know I am no longer a teenager…)

If you go to SP in future, SP has only one main road, turn right if you use the south exit, turn left if you use the north exit. Go straight until the middle of the town where you can see the tallest building in SP. Then you can ask for direction to go to the only fire station in SP. This bread house located behind the fire station.

Old bread house baked the most original bread, only 10% of the processes using machine. Hence, you can really taste the original taste, which bread should have. It is good! The most important thing is this bread house sell cheap bun!

Normally they sell RM 2 – RM 2.50 per packet with 10 buns in bakery. In this bread house, they sell only RM 0.25 per bun and the bun is much bigger then the normal size. The bigger one only sells RM 0.40 per bun.

Although not many local people know about this shop but they manage to finish all the buns in 2 hours time. A small tip for you, if you want to buy hot, fresh baked bread, go to visit them around 3pm in the afternoon, you can smell the bread once you come out form your car.

Penang Bridge Run!!

I got one weakness where I do not like to think twice before I do something. This weakness sometimes make me “suffered” :P. How suffer is the suffer? I am not sure yet but I think is really suffer lar….The story begin………

1st May, I joined my church family day in Bukit Mertajam….I saw a stall with 2 banners…Penang Bridge run open for registration….I still joined the activities as normal until the rest time.

I passed by the stall….they approach me, with the Adidas voucher. If I registered on the spot I will get RM 50 Adidas voucher! With the voucher, I can buy a sport shoes for my dear. Emm…that make me think twice before say no:P.

Then, they show a goodies bag with 4 bottles of Isotea, 1 bottle of Justea, 1 packet of Justea and 1 packet of orange juice with 2 packs of Maggie….Emm….started to shake me more :P.

Other then that, they also stated in the form that if I can finish the run in 3 hours, I can get the Medal….Hehe, 70% agreed…so, what’s the other 30% for? Haiyo, it’s too boring to run 22.3km without someone accompany you, right? So, pick up the phone, called Dear, after “negotiation”, Dear agreed.

So, the story ended by, I signed up for the Penang Bridge Half Marathon and Dear have to follow me because I registered him as well :D. (Actually, I started to feel regret once I am on my way home...No Choice anymore!!)

Oh ya, this is part one, part two will come after the run, I will let you know how "suffer" am I (and Dear) because of I never think twice before making decision.
